Over a hundred years ago Roca settled in Gavà and Viladecans.
The family business drove growth and prosperity in these two municipalities.
It was there that the Roca community flourished.
Today we want to reaffirm our commitment to society and to these municipalities that are part of our history.
That’s why we want to give new life to this land.
To create a new open, inclusive, and accessible space.
That’s why today we are promoting
ROCA CITY: an urban regeneration project.
A new way of shaping a city
A new eco-district seamlessly integrated into the environment of both municipalities.
A space that brings together knowledge, innovation, and culture, improves mobility, increases housing availability and boosts economic activity.
And where Roca stays to continue promoting its sustainable development
Reusing the land
Following the principles of social, environmental and economic sustainability
Preserving our industrial architectural
heritage
Bringing nature back to the city with water from the streams
A sustainable urban model inspired by the same approach that has always guided our company:
enhancing people's lives,
caring for the planet
and fostering prosperity.
32 ha.
The goal is to turn 32 hectares of underused land into a cohesive, open, inclusive, and accessible space for everyone.
Just 15 minutes from Barcelona city center and 10 minutes from the airport, ROCA CITY is an urban project in a unique setting.
Located within the urban area of the Llobregat river delta, between the residential and industrial zones.
Nestled between the Garraf Natural Park, the Llobregat Agricultural Park and the sea.
Connected to
both the urban and natural environment
the metropolitan area and to the world
Roca City is supported by an extensive and efficient network of urban and agrarian mobility, allowing quick access to key urban and natural points of interest. Additionally, thanks to its location, access to the city bus network, suburban train stations, and direct connections to major roads ensures fast connectivity with the metropolitan area.
The proximity to the two suburban train stations enhances public transport connectivity. The Castelldefels train station and town centre can be reached in just five minutes by train, as well as El Prat station, which provides a direct connection to the underground line serving the airport.
Within less than 20 minutes by bike, using bike lanes and paths, you can reach: the beaches of Viladecans, Gavà and Castelldefels, the Garraf Natural Park, the airport, the center of Castelldefels, and towns like Sant Boi and El Prat de Llobregat.
Roca City's location is privileged due to to its proximity to the ring roads, the train network and the airport.
A new eco-neighborhood that becomes part of the city, where diverse uses coexist
With a large public connecting space and water flow as the central axis
Improving urban mobility
Delivering citizen-focused infrastructure and services
And increasing the housing supply
The plan provides for the development of approximately 2,700 residential units. Around 50% are designated as social housing, with a minimum of 50% of these allocated for rental.
The Roca Complex as a driver of development
There we will establish our new global corporate headquarters, where we will project our brand image to the world.
Exhibition areas, a historical museum, and a new training center for the group’s 20,000 employees, its clients, and professionals in the sector.
A knowledge center designed to be a global reference in new technologies for the construction and industry sectors.
Spaces for companies linked to innovation and startups from the Roca Group Ventures ecosystem.
With fully renovated, digitized, and emission-free factories.
The same approach Roca has followed for over a century enhancing people's daily lives, caring for the planet, and promoting sustainable development.
